Summer Youth Basketball Leagues
Ages 4 to 14 . Registration will be held April 14-May 17. Summer leagues at the county parks start in June (August 6th age cut off). All participants must complete a registration form and submit a copy of the child's birth certificate with payment. The fee for an 8-game schedule is $40 at the following parks: Bluff Road, Caughman Road, Forest Lake, Hopkins, Meadowlake, Trenholm, Eastover, St. Andrews, and Denny Terrace. The fee is $50 for a 10-game schedule at the following locations: Blythewood, North Springs, Polo Road, and Killian Parks. All players will go through a draft process for balance of teams. No team registrations will be accepted. Business Sponsorship is only $150/team and is a great way to show support for your community! Volunteer coaches are welcomed and needed. All coaches will go through a background screening process and must be currently certified or become certified in basketball with the NYSCA. The NYSCA coaches training is conducted by the Recreation Commission staff prior to the season.

Company or Church Adult or Youth Leagues All Sports!
Ages 16+ . If your company or church is interested in setting up an in-house athletic program at one of the Recreation Commission facilities, please contact the Athletic Department and speak with Keith Coats at 754-7275 ext. 215 or email keith@rcrc.state.sc.us. Softball, kickball, dodgeball, basketball, volleyball, soccer and more. Let us know what you would like to do!

Adult Co-ed Recreational Kickball League
6:30 - 10:30 pm. Ages 16+ . Team registration will be taken July 1-31. Play begins third week in August. 8-game regular season with single elimination tournament at season's end. Officiated games with trophies and/or shirts to league winners and runners-up and tournament champions and runner's up. Registration will be taken on a first come/first paid basis. Polo Road, Killian, St. Andrews and other sites that are to be determined. Please call 754-7275 ext. 225, 221, or 215 for more information or to be added to a team placement list. $175/team by July 31st. $225/team after July 31st.

Adult Softball League Registration
Ages 16+ . Men's, women's, co-ed, 40+, church, and media leagues available. Registration will be held July 1-July 31. League play to begin in mid to third week in August. 9-game regular season and a qualifying post-season tournament. ASA and RCRC rules to govern play. .44 Cor 325 compression balls with ASA stamp required; one new ball and one used for each game. 16-17 year olds must have a parental consent form signed. Youth Cross-Country Running Program
Ages 7 to 14 . Registration will be held July 14-August 8th , with the season beginning in early September. Teams will meet twice a week for practices with several weekend events included. Other opitional weekend running events will be available at an additional cost of entry fees to the events. Five different sites are being offered. Early-bird registration is $30/child before August 8th and includes a T-shirt, trophy, pizza party and insurance. $35/child after August 8th. Cross-country running is a great way to get in shape and learn the importance of goal setting and fitness. Adult Basketball League Registration
6:30 - 9:30 pm. Ages 18+ . Adult basketball leagues will be offered at numerous sites with play in June-August. Industrial and Open leagues available. Eight regularly season games and a qualifying post-season tournament. Registration ends May 31. All teams will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. All fees must be paid in full before any team is placed on the schedule. $300/team.

Friarsgate Summer Youth Basketball
Ages 7 to 16 . Register starting April 1-May 17 for summer hoops. Kids play 3 on 3 in age divisions: 7-8 and 9-10. 11-13 and 14-16 play 5 on 5. A copy of birth certificate is required at registration. Age division for each child will be based upon child's age as of 8/1/08. Volunteer coaches are needed!
