Richland County Recreation Commission named National Gold Medal Award Finalist
The National Park and Recreation Association (NRPA) has named the Richland County Recreation Commission as a finalist for the National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management in Class II (100,001-250,000 population). The Gold Medal, the most celebrated park and recreation award in the country, is given to the top five parks and recreation agencies in the United States each year.

Step up to the Plate in support of Harvest Hope Food Bank
Since January 2008, the demand for food has increased on average 40% within Harvest Hope’s 20 county area, compared to 2007.
In 2007, more than 20 million pounds of food were distributed in the 20 counties served by the food bank. To meet the projected need in 2008, more than 33.6 million pounds will be needed. Read More
