Recreation Facilities

Denny Terrace Community Center opened the summer of 2002 and offered annual Camp Sunshine, which celebrated its 25th year, and a summer day camp program. We are now in the business of providing a continuing series of classes and events for the community.

A Neighborhood Advisory Council has been established to provide input about programs of interest to the neighborhood. Several classes have been mentioned, including pottery, sewing, aerobics, children’s programs, card games, a walking course, ceramics, and art classes. We also plan to offer an afterschool program that will feature a special populations component to it.

In addition, we will partner with Providence Hospital to offer several health-related programs for all ages. A community play group has offered to perform in the fall. The Neighborhood Association is taking a strong interest in the Center and has plans to stay involved. Check our website at www.richlandcountyrecreation.com for updates on the classes and activities we’ve planned. The phone number at Denny Terrace Community Center is 754-6720.
